Hello, i am currently running a 2.4 (133fsb-533) intel cpu @t 2.808 ghz , i just want to know if there is no real risk is i push it further (2.9 or 3.0!). It's been a week now that i am at 2.8 and its just fine!

Here are my spec :

Asus P4t533 (Intel 850-e chipset)
Intel P4 2.4Ghz (533) @ 2.808 ghz ( 156 mhz external clock) supported voltage : 1.5v
512 MB(2x256) 1066mhz 32 bit rambus
Ati radeon 7500
Vantex stealh 520W Power supply
SB audigy 2
Maxtor 40 GB 2mb cache
13gb WDC
Combo dvd-CDrw
DVD writer (optorite)
Chenming Case (dragon)

I want to know if i must upgrade my voltage and know the risk of it for this particular processor. For the power supply tho there is noting to fear, it's very stable ( but the 12 volt tend to fluctuate from time to time)

For temperatures :

Idle :
MB : 28*
Cpu : 30*

Full load :
MB : 30*
CPU : 46* (47 high peaks)

My goal is 3.0Ghz :) btw when i check asus probe it's sais that the maximum O/C is 3.4Ghz ...

So, if there any risk or anything else i need to know , reply please ! :)

I don't think you'll be able to push it much further, since rambus memory hates overclocking. You could try upping the dimm voltage and the CPU voltage, can you go to 1.6Vcore?

-AMD Athlon64 3200+@2300mhz -3x512 Hynix PC3200 ram@192mhz 2.5-3-3-7 -Albatron 5900PV @ 509/1000 -SB Audigy -Adaptec 1210SA Raid -2x120G Seagate SATA150 7200.7 HDD Raid0 -Enermax 460watt psu

speaking of rambus memory, in my bios i have this freacky feature called turbo mode (Specialy for memory, not cpu) and i want to know if this is safe and would be stable under overclocking. In the mean time i will try to check all the voltages option in my Bios.

Back with more specific details and diagnostics...

Unfortunatly, no option for rdram config (voltage) , but there is still this turbo mode left (and im getting more and more curious about it)

For the VCORE voltage, i can go from 1.525 to 1.725(in bounce of 0.025)

i checked my vcore live from the bios and it fluctuate from 1.53 to 1.60 (is it normal to do this since i am in auto mode ? (1.525)

I've got the cpu/memory ratio from 3x to 4X that i can modify (now it's auto and i don,t know witch one it is set, maybe 4x)

AGP/PCI Frequency setting ,those 2 are on auto mode

And when i rebooted i saw 468 Mhz rdram clock (how does it work if i have 1066 mhz modules???) i don't see the logical numbers in this settings.

For the memory, you know where i can get programs for SAFE tweaking and stuff like that?

Thanks for answering my question :)

BTW this forum is cool, i'll stay here for i while i think
:)

I would like some feedback about upping Vcore and dimm voltage, i know there is some risk but slightly upgrading it could be ok or it's not advised?

About dimm voltage, i was searching for some programs and didn,t fgind any. Is it only in the bios that i can modify that or i absolutely need a program in order to do so?
