Gateway is sending me a new power supply that I will install when it
arrives.
When I spoke to them on the phone and unplugged cables that came from the
power supply to determine what the problem was, there was a cable that
didn't seem to be connected to anything. It is a white connector labeled P9
and is square in shape with 4 female openings. The technician had me plug it
into the motherboard to verify that the motherboard was not the problem.
I am not sure if it was connected when I opened the case and he couldn't
tell me if it was.
Can you tell me what that connector is and if I should reconnect it? Or is
it just for testing the motherboard? I labeled all of the other ones and I
know where they go.
Thanks, Allen
