Compusa is complete garbage.

My personal experience with them is that their prices are lousy and their in store brand is the worst quality you can buy.

and their support is terrible. had my compaq laptop serviced there, well not really. 2 weeks after dropping it off, no call. went to store, said they couldnt find it, and i could see the box sitting on the top of a shelf, right where they put it when i came in originally. took my laptop, fired off a nasty letter to compaq who sent me a next day air box and repaired it for me for free (my only good experience with compaq tho).

if you come across ycs46241's other recent posts, they all end in a link to a compusa product...has there ever been a compusa fanboy before?

CompUSA blows. Nobody knows what they are doing. I went in there to look for a pack of Fuji DVD-R. I asked three people including the manager. They all said, we'll check if its in stock for you. After wasting more than 1/2 an hour of my time, I just left.

If you knew what we are all getting paid you would be slack too. I get the employee discount too just like everyone else who works there :) You don't have to shop with us if you don't want.

Democracy has failed! Down with big government! Big brother is watching you! No taxation without representation! Capitalism has ruined society!

It sounds like you've made some poor purchasing decisions.

Next time use pricewatch.com and resellerratings.com to find a good vendor.

newegg.com is great.

i wouldnt buy in a any retail store unless it was some emergency at work. why pay 25% more, or have to deal with mail in rebates that take weeks to get back. service...newegg has given me much better service than i ever have received at compusa.

Heh.. why buy it at compusa when i can buy the same thing for 20% cheaper on the web?
As long as you buy it from a reliable site you should have no worries.. as long as you know what you are putting together.

I just got a DVD burner from there for under $100...and it runs very well;) I still maintain that Compusa is an excellent store, you simply have to know what you want. And at time their deals are sick.

I'd rather buy rebadged liteons at another store like office depot or office max.

You chose to work there. Nobody forced you to and you should be at least somewhat competent in what you are doing. Getting paid less than you would like does not justify that you should slack.
