just looking for an opinion from fellow overclockers, ive upped the voltage to approx 1.72 volts on my axp 2500, (standard 1.68)

now, what im concerned about is im seeing a rather constant fluxuation in voltage from about 1.696 to 1.76, when running at 1.68, i saw very little flux, occasionally up to 1.696, is this anything to be concerned about do you think?

the processor is running 50 C idle, and 55C under full load (cpu burnin and prime95) at this voltage prime 95 finds no errors

overclock from 1.8ghz 166 FSB to 2.2ghz 200 FSB

stupid question, but what's a mosfet?
and it seems to be more powersuuply related, i removed 3 fans and the floppy, and better distributed the remaining hardware along various rails, and thats helped a lot,

still fluxuating between 1.728 and 1.744, but thats a lot more stable than previously

My Barton does the same thing fluctuation wise when my vcore is up like that. I was up to a FSB of 187 or 192 or so and noticed it. Basically same vcore. But I was stable in prime95 so didn't worry about it.

Had to back down to stock due to the fan on my HS crapping out. Got a new unit in, but haven't had time to install. I've been curious to see if it's going to behave that way again. It seems to me I saw a post earlier today where someone mentioned the same thing about such a flucuation.

From the first line I knew you were using the A7N8X mobo. Damned thing is famous for not keeping the vcore stable. Mine does the same thing. The only problem is that is does increase the heat a little but no matter what you will do to the vcore it will NEVER go past 1.92v unless you voltmod it.
