Hey. I just got my new computer in Friday..

Intel Pentium 4 2.8E Ghz 800 FSB /1024K LS CACHE
ABIT IC-7 MAX 3
OCZ 1GB (512x2) PC3200 DDR400 EL Dual Channel
Thermaltake (w0023ruc) 560W+PPC Pure Power
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
Sapphire 9700 PRO w/ volcano 7 gpu mod
Sony 52x cdrom
sony 16x DVD
Plextor 52x32x52
2xWD raptors on RAID-0
CPU HEAT SINK - Zalman CNPS7000A-CU

I put everything into my Thermaltake XIII case, installed windows... everythings fine. Now when I check my cpu temp its at 52 degrees idle and 55-56 load.. not OC'd. And when I do OC to 3 ghz it stays at 53 idle-56 load. Does that sound normal for this heatsink ? and Im always careful to use not that much AS3. Also.. What are some killer ram timings I can try? Im new to OC'n and would love to know what my system can handle.. OZC says this ram can be increased to 2.9 voltage np.. anyone have some experiance with these ? Thanks

Those temps are very normal for a Prescott system. But it seems a little high for that heatsink, you may need to get more airflow in that case. You can increase ram voltage up to 2.9, and relax the timing, increase Vcore to 1.45, then you should be able to get to 220FSB at least, at 1.45V i'm sure your CPU can handle 250FSB, but your ram won't go that high.

Only 2 lol.. but the only PCI slot I use is for my CS Audigy 2 ZS. Everything else is onboard.
