hi,

i recently purchased a super lan boy with two 120mm fans.
i also purchased an coolmaster aero 7+ cpu fan. this seems to be working well (my cpu was 60 idle (1800 athlon xp)) however my cpu and case temperatures still seem to be very hot 50/25 idle and 58/30 full load (degrees C). i feel around the inside of my case and it seems as though while the aero seven is pumping air onto my proccessor the hot air coming off is not being sucked away by the rear 120mm fan very effectively as it is pretty far over to the left of the rear of the case the hot air right next to the motherboard just seems to be staying there hence raising the temperature around that area.
do you have an suggestions to help me with this problem?

thanks

matt

What's your CPU? Palomino? TbredA? TbredB? And what's your room temp?

It's a Palomino chip, the hotter burning ones, oh well. Those temperatures seems fine, the Lanboy cases don't have that great of airflow, so 5-10C more than room temp as case temp isn't bad at all. Don't worry about your temp, it's fine.

The Tbred CPUs run at Vcore of 1.65, and it's on the more modern 130nm process, your case temp will drop slightly 1-2C max, your CPU will drop by at least 5C. BTW why are you worried? your temps are fine.

If you're thinking about upgrading, then go for the Athlon64, since it runs cool and quite.

hi,

are you sure that im not damaging any of my other components like my 9800 pro by having a case temp of 30 degrees c at full load?

Case temp of 30C's absolutely great, I have 9 casefans, including 2 120mm, and 92mm, the rest are 80mm and yet my load temp still gets to 32.
