Xbox360 controller not working...kinda

I'm using my xbox 360 controller (wired) with my PC. I had the drivers installed and my inputs are also recognized e.g. if i press the "Xbox button" a small dashboard opens etc, it even works with games, problem is it mdoesn't show up in game controoler settings, i want to calibirate the buttons but the controller is not listed either there nor in advanced settings

Does this happen in games which say that they are Xbox Controller compatible?

no, it happens in windows i just ended dmc devil may cry so it works perfectly with every game
