Xbox360 controller not working...kinda

I'm using my xbox 360 controller (wired) with my PC. I had the drivers installed and my inputs are also recognized e.g. if i press the "Xbox button" a small dashboard opens etc, it even works with games, problem is it mdoesn't show up in game controoler settings, i want to calibirate the buttons but the controller is not listed either there nor in advanced settings
