Im trying to decide wether or not to keep my prescott 2.8E or to get a 3ghz P4C.. I mean.. the prescott is running wayy to hot for me.. It overclocks very nice, 2.8 to 3.4 .. thats with a zalman 7000 CU. But temps hang around 63-64 load...*yes I have checked that the heatsink is one correctly and reapplied as3* and have 7 fans in my case..
:( How good do the normal p4 3ghz oc to ? or should I just stick with this 2.8e .. help ! lol

If you can sell the 2.8E for a high price to a retarded friend, then sure, but if you can't, then no. Intel said it had to stay under 72C, but you'll be fine if you go beyond that, just stay under 80C.

Well, at 65c my 2.8e was locking up with the factory hsf and abit ic7. We both should have went northwood 3.0 but we are now stuck with prescott:( But then again the lock ups were most likely the mobo i got the asus now which gave me a hard time but after a bios update and adjustment seems to be working ok for now still burning in and testing:)
