I get a bad lag when i play WoW

hey everyone. So i need some help here...When i enter a raid or go into a town with a few people i lag pretty bad and i would really like to fix it...here are some of my comps specs. let me know if u need more information.


chip type: GeForce GTX 260
Approx. total memory: 2668 MB
Processor: intel core 2 quad Q6600 2.40GHZ

I think the RAM is holding you back. There isn't enough to load all the game data. 4GB is the minimum you should have to play games released in the last 2-3 years.

well, WoW was released 7 years ago? dont know exactly, but nvm :) 
i also think its because of the ram, because your computer has to load much informations in a raid/town / ... .
also what it could be is your internetconnection. my friend has a 8mbit connection and if his Brother plays WoW too, they're gonna have also big lags in raids/town.

I'm going to assume that when you say "lag", you mean your FPS goes down (video becomes choppy, etc).
Before anything, may I know what settings you use when you play Wow? And at what Resolution?

ram is a problem yes, but that cpu will probably also be slowing you down if you upgrade ram. wow is heavily cpu bound, if you could overclock you may see performance gains.
