2.8c or 3.0e with d0 stepping.

Ok well my dad just bought the asus p4p800-e delux mobo and he was going to buy a 3.0e but i told him they run hot and he was planning on overclocking slightly.So i advised him on the 2.8c and getting a sp-94 heatsink.But supposedly the d0 steping is going to be out mid june.Would you guys recomend he wait for the d0 steeping and then overclock that or just get a 2.8c for right now?Also my dad likes to blow money but he doesn't want water cooling is there an air cooler better than the sp-94?

Definently wait. D0 can hit 4.0Ghz on air. Well Thermalright/Swiftech air.
