Well my dad sent my his asus p4s8x mobo and im going to switch it out for my ga-8sr553p.One thing among many this board has over my old one is voltage controls.wWith the board i have now my voltage is at 1.60.My p4 2.4b runs at 2.8 stable but will boot into windows at 3.07.I wondering what voltages would you recomend not going higher than on air?I have sp-94 and my temps never get over 45c even after hours of gameing. Also he sent me his old 2.4b so right now i have 2 of the same chip. The one he sent me is a malay and im not sure where the one im useing now was made.Does where its was made even really matter?I'm going try both chips and see which one over clocks high.

Also what dimm voltages would you recomend?I have pc 2700 samsung ram and im planing to buy come copper heat spreaders.

2.9V for the ram isn't that kinda on the high side?! Especially for Hynix and Infineon, Samsung'll be fine if you cool it.

VAGP depends, on some boards it helps on some it doesn't, try it out, use 1.7, i'd not touch 1.8

2.4B SHOULD reach 3.0 with good air cooling and a healthy 1.65Vcore.

Most PC2700 samsung should do PC3200 no problem.

Since your mobo locks AGP/PCI, I don't know if u hit 3.2 though, i mean the highest B series is 3.06Ghz, you can hit that probably, but i'm not sure about anything beyond that.

Warning on the P4S8X, it's the board that single handedly removed SiS's DDR400 support while simultaniously ruining their reputation based on it's poor AGP8x support. I think both issues are related to the poor design of the memory traces on the P4S8X, which have many corners in order to equalize trace length.

Gigabyte has a better stability reputation in regards to the 648.

Well after looking into the problems with the board it looks like 10% of people will have a stable board but its not a very good over clocker. http://www.abxzone.com had a poll and only i think 15% said theres was stable. So im still going to try it but its not looking good.
