It's easy! Just follow these ten simple steps -

Step 1: Move computer into living room

Step 2: Turn on computer

Step 3: Cover living room floor with water (about one inch or two centimeters of good old tap water should do - do not use distilled water)

Step 4: Open the computer case

Step 5: Aquire a solid metal fork from your mother's or wife's set of best silverware (Essential item for overclocking the heatsink - it is best if the silver ware is truely silver not stainless steel)

Step 6: Place fork in right hand

Step 7: Remove any shoes, sandals, socks etc. (If you can, strip naked - you do not want anything to cause a static discharge as this would ruin your computer)

Step 8: Touch the metal of the heatsink with the index finger of the left hand (Do not touch the moving fan because you might hurt your self)

Step 9: Curse - cursing, swearing, or profanity is required when working with computers

Step 10: With the fork still in your right hand and the index finger of your left hand still touching the heatsink, insert the fork into any available power outlet. (i.e. power socket, electrical socket, thing you plug toasters or floor lamps into. This may take a little force because the power outlet is not a ZIF (Z.ero I.nsertion F.orce) socket)

By following these 10 simple steps you will increase the voltage going through your heatsink thereby overclocking it.

Connect the ground wire of your fan to the -5v or -12v line of the ATX power plug, and viola, overclocked fan=overclocked cooler!

<calls press conference>
I take full responsibility for my choice in font. I am sorry. Because I said I'm sorry and made a big deal of it, you members of the press now love me. All complaints from here on out can be sent to /dev/null. Please sit and wait by the phone as the response from /dev/null might come at any time.

Now if you will excuse me, I told some one I would help them to volt mod their brain. I need to find a defibrillator.
