Okay, so here's the deal. I need a laptop for college. But, I want to be able to do minor gaming on it. Mostly steam games. I'm okay with medium graphics. Just need it so I don't have to force play steam games on her desktop PC.

If you feel bad, you'll help me. It doesn't even have a GPU! It uses integrated Intel Graphics crap! It's a pentium... :(

Thanks a bunch.

I've been recommending this one a lot recently. It has fairly good specs for a decent price. This will let you play most games on medium. If your budget is lower, you are kind of out of luck. Anything cheaper and you won't really be able to play games.

He just wants to play on medium. It's not like he requested a laptop that would play all games at max settings for under $1000 or something.

That laptop I linked will play all games on low-medium at it's native resolution of 1366 x 768.

I'm talking $500. I'm not playing major games on max settings. Just a few steam games on medium settings. I'm not all about graphics unless I'm playing a game like Far Cry 3. Just counter strike and stuff.

$500 isn't really enough if you want to play games on a laptop.

That $699.99 one is probably as cheap as it will get without really slow CPUs or integrated graphics.

Acer Aspire V3-571G-6407 Notebook Intel Core i5 3210M(2.50GHz) DVD Super Multi Nividia Geforce GT 630M

I've found that this laptop is pretty decent for "lite" gaming. Thanks for the input everyone.

Ok. GT 630M is pretty weak. It will play Valve games though.
