I was reading about this somewhere as a way to cool a computer. Mine runs kind of hot, so I would be interested in doing it. Anyone had experience with it? Recommend any parts? How do you get the heat out from the hot side? Thanks.

How do you plan to use the peltier? if you're using it between your CPU/GPU and the heatsink, then you have to go through the trouble of condensation prevention, and it'll be great to have watercooling cooling the hot side. I personally used a peltier to cool my watercooling system's reservoir, to cool the water below ambient temp, this way i don't need to bother insulating the mobo/video card.

I wasn't actually thinking of watercooling anything. I was actually wondering if it was possible to put it at the bottom of the case (or somewhere else on the outside walls of the case) and have the "hot" end sticking out so that there would be no need for an internal fan for that side. That was the "cold" end would be constantly pulling heat out. Maybe a fan is in order on the cool side as well?

LOL no that's not how they work at all, the hot side gets HOT!! I mean hot!! without a decent heatsink/fan a 226watt peltier would kill itself at 180C within seconds. It doesn't pull anything, it just has a cold side which could be below room temperature if the hotside is properly cooled. Right now i'm using a Thermaltake Venus 12 to cool my 226watt peltier, which is cooling my water in the reservoir of my watercooling setup. I have the Venus 12 fan on fairly low RPM, so the even with that huge heatsink and fan the heatsink still gets burning hot.
