im tryin to build a new system, here's the spec

psu FSP 300W
althon barton 2500+ (wanna oc it to 3200+)
abit NF7-S 2.0
kingston DDR400 256mb*2
geforce ti 4200-128mb
(im using the old one, oc it to 280/520)
WD 80G SATA HDD
Lite-On CDRW/DVD Combo

i wanna get a fairly quiet cpu and case fan, so far my idea is to get the Vantec Aero and Vantec Stealth, do u think this is gonna be enought for my new PC?

if not what do u suggest then? for the cpu oc part, im just simply gonna increase the FSB, not sure if that helps

thanks for the help

Well there's a problem, there's no way the 2700+ can become a 3200+, since the lack of the 512k cache. Aeroflow is not the quietest thing in the world, if you want something with same noise level as the stealth, check out the Zalman CNPS-7000A-ALCU, check the power supply noise level, and that harddrive isn't quite.

thanks for the help, well im not trying to get the quietest thing in the world, as long as the pc isnt noisy its fine.

i got the power supply already, its acceptable so im not gettin a new one, about the WD SATA drive, is it really loud? if noise is acceptable.

is the vantec aeroflow enuf for the oced cpu? i hope the stealth will help too. about the zalman CNPS-7000A, you think its better cooling than aeroflow? what system fan do u suggest then?

thanks scott

I don't think it's a good idea to pair up stealh with aeroflow.

Aeroflow with the coolermaster generic fans may be a good idea.

The stealth fans with the zalman CNPS7000A-ALCU is probably the most silent solution, it'll probably cool about same as Aeroflow, however at higher cost.

Zalman CNPS-7000Cu or Thermalright SLK-900A with PanafloL1A?

They are equally priced in my area

Which cpu fan/hsf can give me a better performance on cooling and its fairly quiet? (i cant get the Al/Cu one.)

two more case fans - L1A and Papst fan 120m

thanks scott

The Thermalright heatsink is much much much more superior than the zalman.
