I downloaded MSi and tested MW2 campaign on it, i was getting 80-90fps before recording
but then it dropped down to around 30!
Is there a setting to boost fps recording?

You have MSI AfterBurner 2.1.0 or above right?
It comes pre-loaded with riva tuner statistic server technology.
Open that , click on the silver wrench icon and then in general tab

Also just skip to 4:30 to avoid all pre-installation bull crap

if you are recording it needs to be to a different drive to the one your playing from or you will ecounter mad spikes stops and buffering simply becuase 2 diff apps are trying to read and write from the same place and time, i had the same problem and dif. disks fixed for me anyway
