Yea you can play it.
And I got around 45-50 FPS high so I'm guessing you can get around 60 FPS on the same settings.
But the version that I played was still in beta back in november on PC.
Maybe they have optimized it further so I dunno cuz the game isn't released yet.

As long as you can play it with 35 fps on decent settings i dont see any reason why you should be complaining. Crysis 3 is yet to be optimized even further so dont hold your breath. It will run on fairly good settings

I play it on max settings without AA and don't drop below 50FPS.

My 7870 is overclocked a lot so it is probably similar to your 660Ti in performance.

If I up the AA to X4 I can do high and maintain 50 FPS.

I got a quick question - why does it say that Crysis 3 needs 8GB of RAM?

That's just BS right? Didn't Crysis 1 or 2 something say it needed 8GB of ram, when in reality it never use dmore than 4gb, it just said that and had something to do with it really needing VRAM, not RAM?

I mean it's impossible for a game written to be compatible in a 32bit environment to use more than 4gb of ram...

It's probably just insurance because these days people have like a million programs running at once. If you just have the game running with like Skype and a web browser there is no way it will use more than 4GB of RAM.

The "high Performance" specs say a GTX 680. With a card like that you could probably completely max this game and it would still be "playable" although probably not at 60 fps. I'd say a 660 ti can easily run this game on very high, judging from far cry 3 and a gtx 670 can pretty much max that game without super high AA. A 670 can almost certainly run it on ultra without AA at 1080p, so no worries, it will look and play phenomenal on a 660ti.

You definitely won't be able to completely MAX the game, but really that doesn't matter much at the end of the day.

I wonder how it will fair on my GTX 560. I even get around 35 fps on ultra without AA in Far Cry 3, so even I can probably achieve 40 fps on decent settings.

I totally agree that anything above 30 fps is playable. The problem with being right on 30 fps is that when it dips (it always does) it will drop below 30 and then will become unplayable. SO, I try and shoot for around 40 fps. I would assume that the 660 ti can achieve 40 fps on ultra settings, maybe even with some AA enabled. It's a great card after all.
I really like the 670 and if I had a lot of money I would already have one (lol), but I can probably hold out until the 700 series cards come out.

I really think that anyone that thinks that 30-40 fps isn't playable is a flat pompus graphics nerd, especially for a single player game. I mean most console games run at 30 fps and you never here them complaining about frame rates.

you dumb thing is that nvidia have not properly priced their cards :(
you can get a Radeon 7970 Ghz for the price of a 670... Also the radeon cards now come bundled with a bunch of games...

670 and 680 should come down in price...
the 660 Ti and 660 are fine...
