Hitman Absolution - A very demanding game!

This is one of the games that has put my GTX 660 Ti to the test! 40fps maxed out and 4x MSAA... If i switch to 8x MSAA i get 25-30fps!

Is this normal???
Is this games really more demanding than Crysis 2? i get 50fps on Crysis 2 and only 40 on Hitman...

More about hitman absolution demanding game
  1. Yes the level of detail (polygons) is very high. On crowded levels its much more demanding as the number of NPCs are huuuge.
There is nothing wrong with ur card. Just see ur GPU usage using MSI afterburner to be sure before making any assumptions.
P.S Crysis 2 isn't very demanding. I ran it nicely on my old GTS 450
  2. ohhh, good to know
  3. what resolution are u playing on matters a lot......
because i have a much weaker rig than yours namely
    pentium g630@ 2,7ghz
    4gb ddr3 ram
    9800gtx.....
i played through hitman at 1366*768 a an avg fps of 35-45......(aa 8x on ultra),,,,
so it highly depends....on ur resolution.....

Well judging by his specs i think he can spare enough for a screen with 1920x1080 res

    btw
my rig managed greater fps on the crowded levels instead........
where my rig suffered were in those areas where a larger distance had to be rendered
for eg. the oil rig......(managed a constant 40+ in the china town level)......
  6. im playing at 1080p
  7. most of the titles out there are demanding at 1080p but i still think that gtx 660 could manage more....
after all its one helluva beast......

Now that you mention it , I notice that too. But the difference is very slight for me
  9. Getting a constant 40-45 at ultra (everything maxed), irrespective of the draw distance, massive NPC crowds, etc. My GPU is higher than the 660 but my CPU is still on the weaker side.

I would say its normal. It is pretty demanding as it has rather heavy graphics and rendering.
  10. i get 45fps maxed out with 4x MSAA
