    Hello sk-jb93,

In order to use the upgrade licenses that come with the Windows 7 Family Pack, you'll need to have Windows XP or Windows Vista installed on each computer before upgrading - http://windowsteamblog.com/windows/b/windowsexperience/archive/2010/09/01/family-pack-returns-in-time-for-the-anniversary-of-windows-7.aspx

    Hope this helps!
