Skyrim won't work with dlc

Hello, I just got a dlc for skyrim on my pc, but now the game won't load up to the "continue-new game-load game-...." part, instead it shuts down and goes to my desktop. help please.

Ok, so I just went through some more folders and I believe the issue is that my Skyrim is out of date the my DLC, I going try fixing that and see if that works. I hopes this helps more than just me.
