hi i'm trying to put together a water cooling set for an overclocked athlon xp 2400+, not sure yet how much it will actually be overclocked to and remain stable at. but i've been thinking about the following components for water cooling:
radiator: 1x120mm or 2x80mm black ice ?
pump: eheim or swiftech pump for 300+ gph
water block: something from swiftech
also i'm wondering whether to put the radiator outside the case for better cooling performance but more noise :(
any bit of help, suggestion, input will be much appreciated

thanks

the 2x80mm might be easier to mount in ur case, serious case hacking might not be required, pump i'd go with eheim or hydor, not a big fan of swiftech, waterblocks i prefer dangerden.

hmm yea thanks for the reply. i was leaning toward the 2x80mm too but thought about leaving the radiator outside of the case so colder air goes through it to give better performance which brings me to my other question: say the radiator is outside of the case, 2x80mm with 2 fans or 1x120mm with 2 fans ?? o_0? haha thanks

External, i'd go with the 2x80mm and just have the 2 fans on pull. Internal you'll probably achieve the best performance with the 120mm with 2 fans on push/pull configuration, but that will require case modding.
