A7n8x and SATA

I have a WD 100gb IDE drive already installed on my W2k machine and I just added a Maxtor 200gb SATA drive today. The new Maxtor is recognized by the BIOS but Windows 2000 can not seem to find the drive. I installed all the SATA drivers for my mobo but still no luck. What's the deal?

Right click on My Computer, slide down to Management, go to Disk Management, and see if the drive shows up in the list of drives at the bottom of that window. If it does, you'll need to creat a partition on it just to SEE it, then format it.
