Budget?! lol s939 with FX53, and you're thinking about budget?

Go for watercooling, if you have something against the idea of tubes of water unning through your computer, then go with the Coolermaster Hyper6, with 2 fans, and if you don't like that much weight... Then stick with stockcooling, it'll allow moderate overclocks.

I am in the same case (and like the original poster I do NOT think about budget) .
However I do think about silence and that's why I would like to get the Zalman 7000 .

I have asked on the Zalman original home page and they answered that this cooler IS compatible with this CPU and this MB .
But then everytime I ask a seller , he warns that this cooler is NOT compatible with this CPU and this MB .

Is here somebody who could answer that once and for all ?

Is or is not the Zalman 7000 (Cu or Al/Cu) compatible with a S 939 Fx 53 and Gigabyte (or Asus) S 939 MB ?

It is compatible, don't worry. The reseller you went to see is a moron.

Don't listen to anything Kanavit says, because he's a limped dick Intel loving pussy.
