Antec Basiq Plus 550W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Psu – $60.95

Antec 300 atx mid tower case - $64.95

Total= $624.10

or option two,

Intel core i3-2130 3.4ghz dual-core cpu $127.98

Corsair vengeance lp 8gb (2x4gb) ddr3-1866 memory $59.99

Let me quickly give you a nice build that I use... costed around $650
i5-3570k - $219.99
Asus P8Z77 V LX $99.99
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2X4GB) $32.49 (Frys has a deal to get this with an Asus motherboard.)
Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM $59.99
COOLER MASTER HAF 912 $49.99
Corsair HX650 $69.99
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 $109.99 OR Asus HD 7770 $139.99

The 6850 is a discontinued graphics card but you can still find it somewhere AND is 78% faster. Here is an explanation of the graphics card.

It comes to about $642 dollars. You also got a really good PC. better than an i3 by far.

That's quite a good build, but I ask you to consider going the AMD way with an FX-8350 instead of the i5 (Much better value for money), and for the motherboard an ASRock 990FX Extreme4 is a solid replacement for what is suggested here, should you go with the FX.

i think i may go with this build but is there a similar gpu that is up to date because i dont want to have to upgrade in 6 months which i am afraid of with this gpu

also will this setup fit in the antec 300 case because i really have my heart set on that one?

There's gotta be something better for that price.

Even this would be much better:

Switch out the Pentium for an i5. It will perform substantially better than the other build. You may want a bigger HDD too. You should be able to do that within $650.

Yea, I would maybe go with AMD, they last long really long. I still have an athlon 6000 and its running like a charm.
