2800+ into 3200+ speeds. First time doing a real overclock here. And i found that i hardly had to rase the vcore. I raised it from 1.65 to 1.675, and it almost runs at the exact same temp, 42 celcius, and in load, 48... ran prime95 for half an hour, 3dmark, doom3 for a good hour. All is good i think.

You shouldn't ask me that question:)... because i'd aim for 200FSB. But you got good OC 2.3Ghz, stay there, it's good speed.

Just got done working on my 2800+ last night, mine went all the way 200 mhz and was stable. It was 2500 mhz and didn't expierence any problems. You will have to be running just under a 1.8 vcore though.

My temps at idle went up 2-3° but my temps with the CPU at full load stayed the same.

The link in my signature has benchmarking results and such.

you see, i dont like the idea of just under vcore1.8
maybe i could do a bit more, and keep the vcore as it is

I'll agree with you, the 1.8 can make you feel a little uneasy. I figured that is what everyone said is the max you should go, and I also factored in that my motherboard will only go to 1.8 (I figured the motherboard manufacturer probably knew what was realatively safe).

Yeah, I've wondered about that to.

All you really need is a drill, and some small screws.... uh.... maybe that isn't a good ideal, back to balanceing.
