WaterCooling

Can anyone recommend a good watercooling FAQ / Buyers guide? I am getting tired of my CPU running hot, and have decided to look into water cooling. I believe when water and computers are involved you shouldn't go cheap, but I would really like to spend less than $200, and still be high quality stuff that I can trust.

Anything that can get me pointed in the right direction would be appreciated.

Buy the following:

CPU waterblock(Zalman WB2 gold since it's universal and cheap)

GPU waterblock(Danger Den Maze4 GPU since it's universal)

Hydor L30 pump(strong and cheap and submergible)

Now, what you'll need to do is to find an icecream bucket or garbage can for reservoir depending on how much room u have.

Pick up a car's heatercore/radiator from a local junkyard.

Don't pay high price for those watercooling tubings, pick up some 1/2 inch tubings from a local hardware store for 1/20 the price.

Don't listen to anything Kanavit says, because he's a limped dick Intel loving pussy.

How do you assemble all that stuff...I don't know anything about water cooling, but I'm interested and like to build my own stuff.

Its pretty straight forward. Water is pumped to the cooler blocks (CPU,GPU, etc.) and flows in and back out which goes through a fan cooled radiator, and is then return to the resvoir and pumped back through the pump again.

And if you go the heater core route, I wouldn't get one from a junk yard, the junk yard one is garenteed to have build up in it, and heater cores are known to go bad, you can get them as cheap as $8 from the local auto parts store brand new, with lifetime waranty.

has anyone got any experiences with using the Zalman Reserator 1 Fanless Water Cooling System??

it's a bit expensive, but it's a resevoir and "pump" all in one package, and is totally silent....personally i'm sick of noise rather than heat
