Anyone out there voltage modded an XFX Ti4200 Platinum before. I've reached clock limits and need to up voltage to get GPU running higher.

Sorry, I don't know. But you might try researching the archived posts/messages if no one posts the answer.

good Luck with it

There are a couple of guides out there. I myself actually undervolted my GPU from 1.65v to 1.39v in order to reduce the heat output. I can now run it at 275/550 with a large passive heatsink

Ive done a vmod on a ti4200 and got 35somthting out of the core. However the card did not last long even with a CPU HSF on it. Its really not worth teh mod you only get about a 4% boost in scores/performance and will croak within a few months.

dissapointing news, I was hopping to lift GPU voltage and clock it by quite a bit since it's relativly low. I don't think any extra cooling will do anything for me untill I lift the voltage.

Well its just a limiting factor on the core. It will only do so much data to the point past 300 on the core is a waste of time. Ran into this too with a ti4600 were anything past 330 on its core did not change the scores/performance. The only change that occured was increased heat on the HSF.

I thought more V-core, would allow more O/C, since higer frequencies need more vurrent, and to enable this an increase in voltage is generally required (of course with possible issues early ware-out, electron migration etc).

My XFX Ti4200 is an OC monster. It's the standard version (250/512... NOT the "turbo") and I can OC it to 305/610 without any ramsinks or Vmods... lucky me :).
