I had to do a format / re-install of Windows XP Home on a clients
Gateway..
The client had all the software... OS, Drivers, Application
software...
All went off without a hitch and the computer is up and running...
One thing I found odd... when I re-installed XP Home I did a quick
format.... I was never prompted to enter the Microsoft code... and
after the computer booted I did not see the Authenticate key...
All is working fine...

When I re-formatted two ME Gateway machines with restore CDs I never got key
prompts either. Since the restore disks must be used on a Gateway board
(Gateway BIOS) I think the key entering is skipped.
