ye, another newbie question ... :0

i noticed that my mb (asus nforce2 dx) can change multiplier. Now, I know that you need to increase VCore to get faster FSB ... but do i have to increase VCore too for incrementing multiplier?

my another question is about PSU (power supply) I have 300W PSU in my system ... do i need to upgrade this to 400W or even more if i want to increase VCore or dimm voltage? (i know i have to upgrade it anyway if i want to buy a new graphics card :p )

If you increase the multi you may have to increase the vcore to have the chip stabley at the faster speed.

If your cpu is newer that week 39 to 43 of 2003 (see the stepping codes on the cpu itself for dates of production) the multi be locked. The mobo may offer multi changes, but the cpu won't take it.

Hard to say, if its a high quality (enermax etc) and you don't have a lot of components, it might be OK for now.

Here's a link to a psu wattage calculator http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/ It seems to calculate on the conservative side - meaning it overestimates how large of a psu you need.
