Hey guys,
I'm pretty new w/ OCing. Here's my computer setup:
-P4 3.0E
-P4P800-E Deluxe
-2x 80 gig SATA drives
-ATI 9800 PRO 256 megabyte edition
-two optical drives (dvd rom and burner)
-5 fans and 480-watt PSU (thermaltake purepower)

I've gotten my cpu up to 3.45 stable on stock voltage (atleast I haven't changed it myself and I don't think the mobo will do it automatically). But I read that bringing up voltage can shrink the lifespan of a cpu, and i got really scared. Should I just go back to 3.0? I haven't gotten above temps of 38C (NOT underload). Any suggestions ? Thanks

No, your fine. Raise your Vcore up .1v and stop at 3.5ghz. Run all your benchmarks there and watch your voltages to make sure they stay stable.

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.5ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
