I've just installed a VGA Silencer Rev 3, so I know for sure that my Sapphire card is a R360 core with Samsung RAM, plus it now seems stable at Stock XT speeds with the additional cooling.

So the logical thing to do here was to flash to an XT BIOS, as per the excellent instructions in WS's sticky.

I downloaded the Sapphire/Samsung 128Mb 'XT' Bios, but as soon as it posts I get weird squares all over the screen, and text is corrupted etc. No real problem as I've simply flashed it back (I'm not stupid enough to have skipped the 'Save original BIOS' step  ), but does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I know it's not drivers as the problem manifests itself WAY before I get to the OS stage.

Any thoughts?

I had to uninstall and reinstall my drivers as well as ati tool. But like you said if you notice it before the os loads up its not the drivers.I used this program to flash my bois. You might want to google and see if you can find some different bois's.

Hmm make sure you PSU is not overloaded. Another is to maybe try other bios like that BBA 128 samsung bios. The worse that could happen is the same thing you got already.
