Anything under 1.7 should be moderatly safe as long as your temps are ok.

thnx dude, that implies to safe limits of the PSDS (prescott sudden death syndrome) as well?

Any other limit I should consider for increased lifetime?

I know, I was just teasing you. I don't know about the Prescotts, but raising the Vcore from 1.525v to 1.65v on this Northwood only raised my idle temps 4C. I'm back down at 1.58v now and in a real sweet spot.

:) np. that's nice dude. my vcore defaults at 1.385, the retailbox states: max 1.4v; so i guess we are both pretty well off.

Ya im not sure about prescotts snice they are .09 they use less voltage id say 1.7 if you got the balls 1.6 if you dont
