I used the P4 OC guide on here but think I could benefit from a little tweaking. Any input is appreciated since this is my first overclock. Thanks.

P4 2.8C (stock HSF & arctic silver 5)
Abit IS7 865pe
2 x 512 Corsair Value PC3200 (2.5-3-3-8) in dual mode
Radeon 9600 non-pro

I used 5:4 FSB/DRAM ratio because I figure PC3200 FSB is 200, so if I start it low it has the upside all the way to 200. Is that correct reasoning? Moved CPU FSB to 215, then 220(3.0ghz) , temp wasn't getting too hot yet considering I have bad airflow with current case.

I upped vcore to 1.7v as suggested by the guide. Vdimm was at 2.6v. I left my AGP voltage as I havn't learned the OC potential of the Radeon 9600. I left memory timing at default.

My 3dmark2001se score was about 9100-9200. The OC didn't help that much, will only VGA OC'ing help that? And finally, with all this OC'ing I'll eventually get a better HSF and better airflow.

What else can I do now, are my voltages okay or could use some tweaking? Thanks.

Stop NOW! Back your Vcore down to 1.575. Never push it to 1.7v, it's not necessary. Knock you memory timings to manual and set them at 2.5,3,3,7. Raise vdimm to 2.7v. Now with your memory starting at 333/320mhz raise up the FSB 6 mhz at a time. Somewhere around 193mhz you will hit 3.4ghz CPU speed. At 200mhz you should hit 3.5ghz but you may need more Vcore to get there. Make sure you FIX AGP/PCI buss at 66/33mhz. At stock 2.8ghz I do 42,000 on Aquamark3. With 3.4ghz and a 400/350 O/C on the 9800Pro I hit 47,000.

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot

O/C video card will impact 3dMark greater, and I was seeing 9100 score with a GeForce 3Ti200, the 9600 should offer a little better performance.

It's worth running through a selection od drivers also, as the performance will vary up and down as you go through from the earlier to the later releases.

On my system, i did notice that Aquamark benefitted from CPU overclock more.

Vcore and Vdimm voltage increases should only be done to this extreme with a significant cooler upgrade,
Voltage*current = power dissipation = heat!
a 200mV increase in voltage will also increase the current through the chip, as will the increased FSB

Is temp sensor the on-chip? if so keep a close eye on it, if it's heatsink, then beware. thermal impedance from chip junction and heatsink sense not great..
