P-III 25% overclocked

Had an old computer client who did not want to spend on a PC again. Dude uses a P3-450 (slottype) on a i440BX. He checked out some overclocking sites and just set the fsb on his system to 124 (from std. 100) and voila, 556Mhz or so....
I ran some benchmarks and found that this system performs as well as if not better in most respects than most P3/ P4 upto 1.4Ghz. Somehow shocking. Dude is always seen grinning. Maybe I now call him a geek?

What benches show that its performance is greater than a p3 at 1.4 ghz? Are the rest of the components the same in the other computers? No cpu intensive task will ever run faster on a 556mhz p3 than on a 1.4 ghz pIII. If its graphic related it may be different (since graphic cards play the biggest part in that.)
