How do I convince my friend that my pc is better than the ps4?

The ps4 have a 1.6Ghz 8 core CPU(we have no idea the performance of this cpu ), 8GB ram total(shared between CPU and GPU), and the GPU is very similar to a HD7850.

Also you cant convince your friend that your pc is better than the ps4   fanboys

well, you can try to say this:
ps4 GPU have 1152 shader units
your GPU have 1024 shader units(but you have 2 of them?) so 2048

2048 > 1152

Well, I assumed the next gen console used a derivative of the AMD PileDriver FX 8 core CPU. Basically a slower version of the FX-8350 running at 1.6GHz and consuming much less power than that monstrosity... At the very least maybe a derivative of Trinity...

Well... I've just been informed in the CPU forum that it is not a PileDriver core. The 8 core CPU is actually some type of 8 core derivative of AMD's Bobcat core. Bobcat is the architecture used in the AMD E-350 dual core CPUs which are generally found in low cost netbooks. Bobcat's main competitor is Intel's Atom.

The likely increase in performance per core is 5% over Bobcat according to what I've read. Benchmarks for the AMD E-350 is as follows which can give some type of indication what the new console CPUs performance might be.

Did I read than right 8 Jaguar cores and a 7850ish card on the same die? Why don't they do that with there A series CPU a 7850 on die would blow any other integrated card away.

Probably because that will cause serious financial harm to sales of lower end discrete cards. AMD and nVidia generate most of their GPU revenues from mid range cards meaning the Radeon HD 7750 (maybe the HD 7770) and below. If AMD were to include a Radeon HD 7850ish core in an APU, then they will need to charge a significant price for it. Otherwise AMD will have signed their own death warrant as a result of lost sales which means lost revenues and being several steps closer to going Chapter 11.

Since you have two of them, you can easily beat the PS4.  

Only 1080p? Why not downsample 1440p @ 1080p? You have the horsepower.

@OP seriously consider if it matters whether your friend agrees with you or not. If he can't or won't interpret the numbers available, then is it really worth your time?

he probably already knows that even a mid range gaming pc is better than a ps4. Its hard too tell fanboys otherwise even with stats.

Its pointless to try to "prove" something like that. If your friend likes his ps4 and does not want to know anything about PCs, then you will only make him angry by trying to convince him.

However, assuming you care more about proving it anyway:

PC: Does many thing, one of them is gaming.
Console: gaming machine that can make a few other things.

This is normally considered as "gaming is worse on the PC" this statement is wrong however since pcs are better at gaming, but take more time to setup properly.

Pcs in gaming have an ENORMOUS advantage over consoles: MODDING.
In consoles you cannot add new texture packs, custom quests, weapons and NPCs.

There are countless mods for the most popular games out there, however, limited to the PC.

PCs: Personalization // Consoles: Fixed product.

Means in PCs you decide what you want and how much you want to pay for it.
In Consoles, You get to choose what console you want, thats it.

Advantage of Consoles: Better in general for playing with friends (same house), and exclusive titles.

You can buy a PC you cannot buy a PS4 thats a win every time.

Buy a pc now for £1000 or buy a PS4 with similar power for £400 in 10 months time

Tell him how much games for PS4 will cost.

I think the PS4 is going to be closer to £325 or $499.

Have you seen how much new PC games cost? Sim CIty 2013 is 59.99 or 79.99 depending on which one you buy.

Well PC games tend to be free as so many are pirated off the internet which is why most games companys hardly develop any PC games these days.

You and I probably have different definitions of "similar".
