So I have had this problem for a while now:
I launch a game, and default it is in fullscreen.
The game looks HORRIBLE. The colors are so distorted, finding the video options is about as easy as finding Osama.
I finally find the video options and turn fullscreen off, and it looks just fine.
Any help?
I have tried updating all of my computer's drivers.

And here are some examples of what it looks like: Normal (http://i.imgur.com/HZffQ1o.jpg) What is happening to me (http://i.imgur.com/ucd7oxG.jpg)

System Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX pro r2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU:AMD Radeon HD 6950
PSU: Seasonic X series 850W 80+Gold
RAM: 16GB G-skill Ripjaws

Thanks!

It looks like a card I used to have that had unstable RAM on the graphics card but why playing it not in full screen helps I have no idea. Try running a GPU stress test like OCCT or furmark and see what happens unless someone else can offer any better advice.

It might be the game, it might be better suited to a lesser OS with lesser video settings. What is the game called? Oh, Isee - "Fable - The Lost Chapters"

I've played that game, when you reach the end, let the 20 minutes of credits roll by and it then allows you to contiune with the game. After I played the game in good mode, I then chose to be evil so I could get past some of the evil blockades. If you just start the game and decide to be a nasty player (when the opportunity arises), it is really too hard and the girls run away from you ..hahaha.

As for your current dilemma, you need to play the game in a lower resolution, maximum 1024 x 768 as the game was designed more for Windows XP (even though the info label on the packaging might say later versions, not always true, it's a selling dupe for users with only a later OS, and also it stays on the retail shelf longer at the higher selling price).

When a video gamne has a top setting of x value, anything higher than that will stretch the images to fit into a higher resolution, much like an image for your desktop if it is a rather small image and stretched to fit the screen.

You could try setting your desktop resolution to Native mode then in the video sttings of the game, choose max resolution.
