W7 PC Freezing

computer was working fine this morning 11-06-2010 i come home turn it on and now is freezing on boot screen were info about MB is on the screen

So the screen sits on the black BIOS screen and doesn't move any further?

What I would suggest is to open up your computer, remove one all RAM memory chips but leave ONE chip there, boot up computer again and see what happens.

I think the problem could be either a faulty memory chip or a faulty memory bay on the board, but you probably won't know until you've tested all memory chips and with varying memory slots.
