I have a Gateway G6-450. I recently upgraded from Norton AV 2003 to
2004. Upgrade went fine with no error messages or system slowdowns.
Product activation was also painless. I have noticed one peculiar glitch,
though. When NAV updates your virus definitions, or scans your outgoing
email, a small window from Symantec pops up from the systray with a progress
bar. After the mail has been sent, or the virus definitions updated, the
window shrinks back into the systray. But since upgrading to version 2004,
these windows are now hidden behind Outlook Express. I can only see them if
I quickly minimize OE. I asked Symantec about this, but they didn't know
what was causing it, although they promised to keep investigating. Has this
happened to anyone else who upgraded from 2003 to 2004?
