Hello, I have an AMD Athlon 2500+ cpu, running at normal speeds.. I was wondering what the operating temp should be before my computer shuts it self off for its own protection. Right now is running at 32 C, and with a full load , its about 44 to 47 C.. Is that good? I have a Thermaltake Volcano 12 all copper heatsink. Its not even running at full speed.

As I sit up in my bed looking at all the stars, I begin to wonder... WHERE THE HECK IS MY ROOF!?

To protect the CPU I'd set it at 65C shutdown. It can handle higher temps, but keeping it below 65C insures a longer life.
