Do these numbers make sense?

I posted 18,800 on 3D Mark 2001. I'm running P4 3.2 stock Northwood w/HT enabled. Stock HSF
1GB (2X512) Corsair 400mhz Dual Channel: 2,3,3,6
Gigabyte 81K1100 board: Updated Chipset drivers, BIOS
BFG 68000 GT OC: OC'd @ 390/1000 Latest Forceware Drivers, Riva Tuner
Slider on High Performance, No AA, Vert Sync Off

Does that seem like a low number for this system? I tested with 128MB AGP aperature and 256MB...256 scored a little higher. Thanks for any input or advice to boost my performance. Doom 3 runs at 1280 res, High settings, 2AA but I can't bump any higher than that or it gets starts dipping to 20-30 FPS in some spots.

I get 10800 / 11000 with:

AMD 2500@3200+
1.25Gb DDR400 RAM
Geforce 5600 (o/c 350/630)

So, with a Radeon 9800pro, which is what I used to have, you're getting 19,800. I've got a 6800 GT OC'd and I'm getting less than that. How's that possible? I should be at least exceeding 20K with my set-up. Does HT help or hinder gaming?

I think I may know, the card simply cannot cope with the more primative rendering methods, remember that while it is 2x faster than 9800P in DX9 the R3xx series GPU was designed before DX9 was even out, so it still partially based on and made to run DX8 apps. 2001 also is an older program, I doubt Nvidia is putting time into making their new cards use it, run 2003 or 2005, then you will notice a big difference, your GT should score around 9,000 to 13,000 depending on CPU(9,000 for a Xp2000 speed cpu and 13,000+ for A64 3800/P4 3.0c class CPU ). This is only a theory, you can get future marks trial versions which run the full benchie for free, however you cannot cange any settings, they all run at default. I get 12000 with a GT @400/1100 and P4 2.6c@3GHz on 3Dmark 2003.

P4 2.6c@3 / 1GB OCZ DDR533 / Abit IC7-Max3 /
BFG Geforce 6800 GT @ 410/1100 /
Baracuda 7200.7 120 GB SATA / Lian-Li PC-65 Case
/ SyncMaster 700nf Monitor / 3DMark03-12100

HT helps gaming.
Try older video drivers. I dont know how newer nvidia drivers are but the new ati ones suck! I think I got that score with the 3.1 drivers or something around there. The new 4.9 drivers dropped my 3dmark to about 16k.
Give some modded drivers a try like omegas drivers. Sometimes they are very good, for ati at least.

Well... I still use 01 because the numbers actually mean something to me and I can relate them to my former systems. It is getting to the point where newer graphic architectures aren't made to support old tests like 3dmark01 but until I have one of those cards I'm going to stick to it :)
If there is a formula for finding what the 01 score would have been from an 03 or 05 score I'd use em right now but I don't think there is.

Those number do seem quite low, especially in Doom 3. What is your 3dmark03 score? The 6800 series doesnt give a big jump in 3dmark01 but does with 3dmark03.

Your card is designed for dx 9 not 8 or 7...it's backwards compatable but not necessarily designed for it. That's why it seems low. These guys are spot on with using newer bench's like aqua and 3dm 03 05. I'm using both 3dm, and my older cards are killed on the newer benches (if they even finish them) compared to 01 where they do on par with some of the newer cards designed for dx9.

Hope this reinforces some of what the other poster's have said. I have several benches under apesoccer you can check against for, on futuremark, with different cards and systems. Most aren't oc'd and nothing quite as nice as your system but they're out there if you're looking for comparisons.

My RAM is not the Pro model, but is there a difference other than the lights. Im going to try those settings you use and see what happens, but I dont think it will fly with mine.

The TwinXLL @ 2-2-2-5 comes in a Pro option. Only difference is the LED lights, same otherwise. There is also a Pro and Non Pro version with slightly higher timings.
