First of all I'm glad I am now rated as an ADDICT of this forum. I have posted in a lot of other Hardware forums and this is my favorite. The Tom's HW community has really funny, friendly, and interesting people! Thanks everyone for creating a great forum! The flamming was out of control everywhere else I went, this place is the best.
Anyway, now that I've made it this far, i need some things cleared up:
1. Can I get a factual report on the ex-employee of Tom's HW, Van? What's the controversy with him?
2. Who were the first members of this forum? The people who were here the first year.
3. What happened to Hammie and Girlnamedlou?
Thanks again guys!
--Y'all know I be makin da money, big greens. Know why? Cuz I got a whole lotta cache.--
1. Search. It's boring to talk about.
2. Um. Um. I don't know. There are a whole crap load of threads though that address this. Search.
3. Hammie is Poobaa. Girlnamedlou bailed out a while back I think.
Any ideas why Lou stopped posting? Bailed out sounds like she got bored or something, and I deeply doubt it.

What's pulling a Jimi Hendrix? Forgive my cluelessness to old singer jokes!

1.) You're not going to find much in the FORUM, since this was actually on the THG site. Basically from what I recall, Van kept telling Tom how to do things, was insobordinate, etc. I think he called Tom a nazi too. Anyway, he was basically being a rude ass and when they cracked down, he said he'd leave, and they said good ridence. Then they took his name off his articles that he wrote for Tom's and instead put "Tom's Hardware Staff" as author.
