Ok well im going to be buying a new system in about 2 months with a nForce4 motherboard, Athlon64 3200+ (winchester core), a Radepn X850XTPE if i can get it when i buy my system.
Also 1GB twinmos dual channel DDR500, WDC 200gb SATA, Samsung Combo drive

Im also looking at cooling
I was thinking of the following options:
going the cheap way and just using a decent heat sink, thermalright XP-120 and a 120mm fan for it cost about $120.
Going for water cooling but in NZ its not particulary easy to come by for most of the decent parts and it costs quite a bit so it would cost about $400 to $500 (a obsene price i know which i dont like) and it would only be a CPU cooler like that i know i could add to it for cooling other parts.
My third option, the most expensive is Vapochill, i can get the premium system for about $850 and its in a case so i could take of about $250 to $300 which is how much the Lian-Li V1000 case will cost me so its not much more expensive than water cooling but the case would look like crap. (i dont know how much it will cost to just get the cooling unit and use the same case)

So I have a few questions:
First what kind of over clocking performance could get with each of options?
How big a PSU would i need for the Vaporchill? My original plan was a 480w Thermaltake but I have been told to get a bigger one, a 550w sort of size, is that over kill or just right or what?
And finally what do you people advise considering the costs and performance.

Note all prices are in NZ dollars so thats why they are high.

Based on AXP over good air cooling:

Custom water - 100-200mhz
Vapo - another -100-200mhz

If your new to overclocking I would suggest a 120mm Delta and a funnel. You can get overclocks that would put watercooling to shame with this set-up. You might also go deaf:p

That sounds great but i dont like the sound of deathness as it will be in my room and on when i sleep so not being too loud would be nice. I think i'll go for good (reasonably quiet) air or if i feel like wasting money vapochill

You could go fanless...
Scythe Completely FANLESS Heatsink for Socket 478/754, Model "NCU-2000"

But I never tried a small fan

I dont mean to be a pain but if you can try to remember around how much better was the colling performance between 1-4 degrees or 5-10 decrees ( just dont know if i should bother with it
Thanks
