Now, don't laugh but I am running a GF2MX 400 in my second system and I feel really ashamed of it. Fortunately it's only my second system, though the rest of the system isn't that spectacular either: Celeron 2GHz @ 2.8, ASUS P4B266-M (845) with 256 MB PC2100. I only use this machine for playing SIMS, Max Payne and some other games which won't run on my majorly overclocked P42.6. But I am fed up with this card as overclocking it really hasn't got me anywhere and I want to upgrade. Could anyone recommend me a really cheap card with some potential. Overclocking is a nice bonus but I want a card which performs ok first... I have been concidering the FX5200 but I have a Radeon 7000 32MB and this card isn't bad and it performs ok, so I was wondering whether to get a second hand 7xxx series or a brand new 5200. Advice ladies and gentlemen is most welcome, positive or otherwise.

I wouldn't get a FX5200. I think an old (second hand) G4 Ti 4200 would kick it's butt.

That's a good idea though the only problem with the GF4 TI series is that they are still great cards and they still kick some butt so they are not cheap. I have been looking for a second hand GF3 (man they were good, overclockable by 40%) and I know they're old but even the GF3 outperformed the 5200 so I will see what I can do. If I were in the West I would able to pick up a GF3/4 easily but it's a different story here in China, everything runs on Celerons, GF4MX and 5200 so if I can't fin something decent I am stuck with this third rate card of a 5200...

I agree with the GF3. I had a GF3TI200-128MB, and it overclocked great!
