The best way to find old computer games

What is the best way to find an old computer game if I can't remember the name?

I guess I was hoping to see if anyone knows a forum or somewhere that might specialize in this kind of thing. I have Googled a lot and given up and tried again and still no luck. I think the best I can do by asking people is to narrow down the year and operating system...

You could have a look around GOG as they tend to have a lot of older titles. That would help you narrow down genre.
