Sims 3 with ssd

Hi

im wondering if sims 3 will perform any better when using a ssd, Ive read that it reduces load times but my game is a bit choppy when accelerating the speed (3x), on (1x and 2x) it runs smooth. will an ssd make the FPS higher?

PC Config
Intel Dp35DP board
Intel E7400 CPU 2.8GHZ
4GB 800 mem
asus GTX 550Ti Top 1GB
1920 x 1080 (medium graphics)
