i am looking for better overclocking performances and i've experienced that my cpu gets really hot if i overclock over 3.2GHz. i've pushed it through to 3.5 but the cpu would get hotter than 70 C on loading and i had to restart it even before windows was loaded.
now heres the problem,i want to buy a watercooling system and i have too many choice:
1) i want my cpu to be really cooled
2) i want it to cool down the gpu as well cause it gets seriously hot(i have gpu heatsink+fan but still it gets hot..)
3) i dont mind noises but when i go to sleep, i leave the computer on and i want it to have an option to slow down or make less noise...
price doesnt matter... but im not payin more than $400

my initial ideas were: zalman reserator1 (it has gfx memory heatsinks which i think are very beneficial)
corsair hydrocool 200 ex (extreme coolin , but does it slow down enough to not make much noise?)
coolermaster aquagate

advise me..... share you ideas...

I got a zalman and i'm very happy with it
I have it hooked up just to the cpu
And have the zm80d-hp for the video card
I have my 3.2 prescott@ 4.0 with idle 40-42 with 75F ambient
and around 50 load
I chose not to go with the zalmans vga block and i'm verry happy i didnt
I never hear the computer either even with my ear 6 inches away
The reserator is 208.99 at amazon.com

If you want to do some serious cooling I'd go for Innovatek. Though it may require more modding/tinkering than you would be willing to do. It will likely not be a plug and play situation, lol. Just take a look at my machine :)
I use all innovatek blocks and have used innovatek radiators, etc, in the past. I have slightly upgraded some of the components as my tinkering skills increased. My friend has a completely innovatek system. The cooling efficiency is extremely good.
Innovatek also offers the widest selection of watercooling equipment incase you want to add things in the future.
Toms has done some reviews of some of their equipment, you should check it out.

My asetek kit is very good, it was easy to assemble and has great performance (the antartica block is one of the best waterblocks out there). The fans can be set for either 12v (quite loud) to 7v (very very quiet).

this is really confusing.......
where do you have to put the radiators with those asetek/innovatek kits? cause i dont want 2 fans outside my case without stands, just floating. and theres absolutelty no space in my case.....

The normal location is to mount it inside your case but you could really mount it anywhere. As long as you can run pipe to it you can put it anywhere. If you have a 120mm case fan on the back or side just mount a 120mm radiator on the outside of the hole. Or simply drill some mounting holes in your case and put it on the top, sides, back, etc.
The 120mm papst fans that come in innovatek kits move a lot of air and are extrememly quiet. If you mount the radiator/fan on the outside of the case you could easily run it at a very low speed and not loose much cooling efficency.

Yea i also think inovatek is absolutely the best thing out there but it requires a big wallet and a [-peep-] load of time so
I took the easy way out if you
If u can afford it go for innovatek
I'm actually thinking about their nvidia 6800 cooler but dam $119

Im using a full tower case, so simply drilled 2x120mm fan holes in the top and then mounted the fans and radiators in the top of my case. I you havent got room to do this you might have to be a little more creative.

zalman reserator is good, but im not sure if its gonna work if i install both agp and cpu blocks. cause i overclock both agp and cpu...

check the specs of the reserator you should be able to hook up both
I also think there are innovatek all in one sets that run under $400
I'm almost possitive (for the cpu vga and the nothbridge)

An innovatek kit will be around or under $400 if you don't get that large ati cooler for the video card. A Graph-o-matik rev2 will work fine for cooling the gpu on the card. Just glue some passive coolers for the ram and/or mount a fan to blow over them. That usually does a pretty damned good job even when ocing quite a bit. I am just using the stock coolers on my 9800pro 256mb and a 120mm fan blowing on it. The modules never run over 40C even under full load.

That block is only about $35, that is a tad better than the $100+ price tag on the full ati cooler. That block is also used for the chipset so just get 2 :)
FrozenCPU.com and Sharkacorp.com also carry a wide array of innovatek gear, their prices might be better.

Ok........OK.......... My bad
I double checked your right
But you could get one of these
http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/MM=f5a1a39d977fcdcbd0c899a102e3e0ba:0:32:33?mv_session_id=3gZQxZux&mv_pc=19&mv_more_ip=1&mv_nextpage=results
from $279-$350 + graph o matic (44.95) some extra tubing and it should be around $350 - $400 bucks

first , thanks for apologising lb, you dont see that many people online willing to apologize... :)
i will need to get that big block for my agp, it really, truly and utterly, gets very very hot. and i dont have heatsreaders for its rams and im not even overclocking it and i want to overclock it.... blah blah blah...
i overclocked mine to 3.5 with stock cpu... but it would crash at loads...(extreme heat) i think i will boost it up to 3.7 with the cooling kit....

You do realize that by any oc'g, specially extreme oc'g, you risk damaging your rig, and thus spending even more to repair/replace damaged components. I mention this since your limits on cash you mention...
If you understand this, then go for it...
If not, consider carefully...

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign

Fine i take my apology back
hahaha
Ok not 3.8 but almost 100% chance of 3.6
Just put a fan or your northbrige, get on of those small 60mm fans and attach with some zip tie
i'm actually not very worried about busting my parts, I I mean they do come with a 3 year warranty.
The worst case cenario it'll cost u $20 bucks for the shipping to CA or werever and they ship it back free
a pain in the ass though

P.S one time i got my friends 2.4 up to 3.6 with no mem upgrade or northbrige cooling
just a zalman 7000 series (just used the 5:4 or 3:4 ratio for the mem)
Runs really stable too!

And i got my 3.2e up to 4.3 stable
So i dont know why people are always like "ohh dont bother", "you'll never get it that high ","u need a promedia for that kinda of an overclock"

Maybe i was just lucky with my cpu's who knows
I donna just my opinion

Bigbang so whats the site u wrote cheap site and then left us hanggin

Inovatek has some sick gadgets uve probably seen them
So you always have room for upgrades

Folken
u got a crazy water setup (I'm very jealous)
I would of gotten one too but, to go all out with the hdd collers, temerature gauges, flow meters, all those o matics it would have probably ended up costing like $600 (is that about how much ypu spent) If its not a secret that is
Thanks

Oh yea are your pumps loud?

The hydor L30 pump I have is very quiet now I have put a bit of foam insulation between ti and the case. I was really worried when I first turned on the cooling system because it was damn loud, but this was due to air bubbles and once they were out it was fine.
