YAY! Finally, after a year and a half, I reached 10 000 posts. 50% Quality, 50% brainless at the OTHER .
Drinks are on me people, I'm partying at the local strip bar, yall invited!
Wingding you get the special enchanted grotto for those who'd like some more backdoor action. (Basmic you're also invited to that room )
Oh well, anyways, what a moment to cry... snif... they grow before you blink, and then they reach 10000, far from the Newbie mark! *snif*

But I'm not running around going "Oh, I have ___ many posts, whoo-hoo! I'm so much better than ____ because I have ____ posts".
I don't see how postcount means anything. One could get on here and make 10,000 serious, helpful posts, or they could get on here and have long, drawn-out conversations with themselves like ole Scammy.
I figure that I owe the Forum 2 serious posts for ever frivolous 1 I post in this Other netherworld. I don't keep a journal, but I try - I will say that Svol does a great job of posting helpful advice in the serious forums - unlike Eden who probably has 3/4 of his posts the "cheap" way here - but, hey, who's counting.

Everyone here does his/her part in helping the other forums. Eden for instance is very active in the graphics card forum so you need not name anyone's posts as "cheap".

Agreed, once again he judged me based on my presence here, without bothering to check other forums. What a sad bloke.

Bah, once ye get to near 10 000, you'll be itching to reply!
Now wait till Crash reaches 20 000, that'll be the day.
Besides, I only partied at 10K, and when I became a Gigolo, but there's a reason for partying again on a normal title change...

Way back you used to be able to see people's post counts. It got really out of hand though with people posting just for the post count. We asked Fredi to do something about it and he removed that feature. Wusy was the prime offender in this case.
Then came Fatburger and just posted in every section until he had literally slowed the forum down to a crawl. He got a custom title and then left when we wasn't made a mod. He pops in every now and then.
Then came svol. He has somehow managed to get thousands and thousands of posts ahead of me even though we were even in May of last year.
I have to agree. And I personally did notice I was being excessive lately. Guess I did fall for the competition-feel (I am a very competitive person in real life) and wanted to just cross that lovely limit. 10 000 is not joke in any forum, getting this much really means you love the place, or really need to get out more!
But anyone who has read my posts the past two days will see I have posted several informative posts that are long. I've always done that, and anyone who dares judge me as some spammer, needs to hang themselves for judging others so quickly.
