recently after resetting cmos and (changing around some hardware) I have found that I have no sound devices or network devices found ie no sound/internet the computer is also unable to recognise the hardware i use (cant use the rating system thing). Now my other HDD with windows vista is fine so I don't know whats going on. Furthermore when trying to reinstall drivers from disc that came with the Mobo it doesnt recognise the disc (it does with others) and the disc is fine as another pc I tried it with worked. So what could I do to fix this?

if it wasn't broke then why did you try and fix it..?
what made you reset the cmos.?
you gonna have to start from scratch if trying to reset cmos doesn't work again, so try it once more.
can you get in BIOS and what does it say.?

I reset CMOS because my PC was crashing before it gave me the option to go into bios and change settings to stop it from overheating. But I cant see why resetting CMOS should mess up win 7 and leave the HDD with vista ok.
