A couple months ago I bought this my system with the intention of ocing it. i am fairly new to overclocking but still ha d bit of an idea what to look out for. The Problem is that when i change the fsb even from 200 t0 205 and try to restart it all of the sudden wont recognize my hard drive. tells me theres not valid boot disk.
this is what ive got.
Abit IC7 Max3
Ultra pc4000 ram 2x512
P4 3.0E
my other issue is that in my abit EQ it reads the vcore as being fairly steady, but in cpu-z it jumps around a lot 1.36, 1.39, 1.40. that kind of thing.
any suggestions what the problem is? the power rating that is rated 12+ always hovers around 11.7 is this a normal number? thanks to anyone who can offer help

Well make sure the Vcore is within the +-5% deviant range and to use at least a 420wt PSU. Run a memtest also at that setting to see if the ram/mobo is the culprit. If it is in dual channel mode then disable it and OC it again.
