I know this is not PowerSupply section, but the last time i posted there with qestions like this i never got any answeres. Anybody have an suggestions for good PS's for overclocking? I was looking at OCZ PowerStream 420 for $95. I wanted the 520, but its 140, I only have 120. But 420 should be enough for any upgrades i can throw at it for quite some time, by the time i need 500w i'll just get a new ps cause something more stable will be out by then. Any other suggestions?

Asus A8V Deluxe(rev. 2.00) / A64 3000@2.4(266FSB, Mult. 9x) / 1024mb OCZ DDR533 / BFG 6800GT@405/1100 / Baracuda 120GB / Lian-Li PC-65 / Syncmaster 700NF / Antech True 380

Hmmm. 500 watts, split 12v rails, sleeved cables, 120mm fan, ATX 2.0, looks good to me!

Abit IS7 - 3.0C @ 3.6ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot

Well, the blue storm has good reviews, but there are a few things I do not like, have to open the psu case up to get at the pots, and the most important flaw is its not really 500 watts, its 460 continuously, only 500 for (i think 60 seconds is the norm) peak load. The OCZ is 420 continuous and 520 for 60 seconds peak load. Also i've heard that the OCZ has more stable voltages, its supposed to be on par with PCP&C, which I know is the best as my dad has a PCP&C 420 that is 3 years old and powers his new A64 3500 winchester system with tons of devices with rock solid voltages dead on spec.
Edited by CaPtAiN_InSaNo on 01/18/05 04:32 PM.
